I was at Costco one day and I was so excited to see what exotic things we would get. Right before we were about to go l spotted a book sale and l wanted to get one so l asked Mom to let me look at the books and l chose Awesome Friendly Spooky Stories.
The book was awesome and l think l like it because I like scary stories so if you like spooky stories you should go and read it. This book is also very funny .
My favorite character is Gabe the ghost. The reason I like Gabe is because well uh first of all he’s a really funny ghost and he’s the friend of the author who wrote the book .
Children 3 and up can enjoy this book but most recommended 6 to 10.
BIG SIS OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Review By Little Sis
There was girl that was named Lilli. She loved to bite on stuff. All babies like to do that. But this one is different!
She would put EVERYTHING in her mouth. When she got bigger, some of her teeth grew in and they were sharp! And then she bit her teacher! And then they thought she was a vampire!! And everyone wanted to be just like her!!!
And then they found out she wasn’t. She was just a naughty kid.
This story will make you laugh if you know someone that bites!!!

Well, my favorite character is also Lilli (the biter) that is diagnosed as a vampire. But don’t worry, she’s too young to be contagious. Read to find out what happens to Lilli, her family and her school!
This book has 16 chapters, each with their own character and plot. It has a bit of a Shrek vibe, as there a bit of adult humor sprinkled in. I enjoyed reading it to the kids at night. They each got to pick a chapter, and each chapter is short enough to read out loud in about ten minutes. We have read their favorites multiple times.
There is a bit of colorful language/scenarios in here. Rowan gets bullied by “jerks”. Lilli’s parents lie to the school when they find out about Lilli’s condition. Rafe grows ups in isolation in his parent’s cellar. They are each presented in a funny way, but it could be off putting to some parents and/or kids.
At the time of this review, Big Sis is 8 and Little Sis is 6.
